Entry Burned 3000 calories today!

I went to my body sculpting class this morning. That was one hour of a really good workout with weights. But when I got home I was full of energy and my yard desperately needed attention. So I worked outside in the yard for 4 hours. I kept my stop watch going so I could log the calories burned.

Well, I've burned almost 3000 calories for today and I've only eaten 900 calories so far! Hmmm, I don't think I will be able to eat 1200 calories for supper. So I'm going to have a huge deficit today. But I guess that's okay because my deficit usually only runs about 500 to 700 calories a day lately.

But boy am I tired! The sad thing is that I didn't even finish the yard! But I got the back done and it looks great. Maybe I can get the front done Monday.

awesome!  :D  burning too many calories & leaving you with a high deficit won't hurt you, as long as you don't do it all the time.  you might be extra hungry tomorrow, though,  hehe

How funny!  My yard could use 4 hours of attention every single week, but I haven't done that in a couple of years.  But you're right; it really burns the calories, and the yard loves the attention.  All the trimming and dragging is certainly good exercise.  After the hurricanes blasted everything in 2004 I spent loads of time outdoors.   In this subtropical climate things never stop growing, and if you stop for a couple of months it goes right back to jungle.  Instead of working on the yard, I've been running off to the gym.  I keep promising my yard some attention...maybe after this next run out of town.  (If I don't it'll just get thicker)
