Well, yesterday I was talking of fall being in the air. today It was pretty hot. Probably will be for quite sometime. these cold fronts that have been coming through have been so nice. I had hoped when I had to go over to mother-in-law's again tomorrow ( for five days ugh) that it would be cool enough for me to get out in eve. and walk on her paved drive. doesn't look that is going to happen right now. oh well. Got a real interested party on the cobra today. Really hate to get rid of it but gosh,it is just a car ( did I say that?). My dream is traveling, his was the cobra, for one and the Harley for two. Dreams change. I have enjoyed the cobra also but will be nice to have the little extra put back for retirement. ( hopefully safe). Hubby is thinking of retiring in near future.Like this year. His knees are real bad, and he has been at this same job for 35 years. He took his 35 yr service award and paid it towards my new laptop. wasn't that sweet? we spoil each other. we also use things until they wear out, usually cars too, ( we had the same dodge truck for 13 years). I got to pick out the new truck when we got it. A pretty red one. I always wanted a red 4x4, just wish it got better gas mileage. hence the kia. had to have it for gas mileage. that was the smartest thing we ever did and just at the right time last year. You can't live in texas and not have a truck.Ok enough about all our vehicles right. he also has an 03 harley road king which he barely ever rides, but has big dreams about riding alot after he retires. I joked with him that I am turning it into a trike and I am going to start riding it if he doesn't. hubby goes monday to see the ortho dr. again. we will talk to him about surgery. he really didn't talk to joe about surgery last time. being bone on bone I think he should think about having it soon. he is 59 1/2, also I think it would be wise to do it while he is still working that will take him farther down the line before he actually retires. all this has got the world spinning right now. I danced for 45 mins tonight. to my 80's radio station. also 30 mins pilates. hopefully I will get alot more exercise in from wed.- sun as there is not much else to do at mother- in-laws. keep me in your prayers that I can keep my patience with her. at 88 she can really work my nerves. off the subject. sizes are funny. I tried on one pair of pants thinking. oh I will never get into those. they almost fastened, just liked a little on my stomach. guess what size 16. oh REALLY? Then I tried on another ok these fit comfortable not too loose. size 22. what. you have got to try them all on, and when you are in a store shopping that can be a trip. I haven't even bought any new clothes at retail yet. been buying everything at thrift shops. have got a whole new wardrobe for less than what some pay for 3 or 4 items. all in excellent like new condition. just trying to find one pair of jeans in my closet that will look good on my trip. good luck to me. haha.
I am just north of Houston and I would love to feel fall in the air!!! I hate trying on jeans.....hate it, hate it, hate it. But best wishes for you on your quest for a good pair! I found a pair at marshall's that ended up working out for me, and then I fit into some old jeans of mine....so that made me happy :) you are in my prayers for everything (from your hubby, to jeans, to MIL). Anyway, take care! |
It's hot here to but I'm not complaining. I like the nip in the air but don't like winter. It's not a friend to someone with dry skin. I itch thinking about it. I'll take the heat and being able to wear capris any day. I always supplement my wardrobe at the thrift stores while losing. A great way to save money and you can donate them back after you hit goal along with all the rest of the clothes that no longer fit. |
