Friday we had a lucheon were we could not choose our food. We had large wrap of tuna salad, pasta salad , carrot sticks and it seems like ther was something else. I eat half of the wrap and the carrot sticks.
Friday night we had a dinner at the Omaha Press Club with all the leaders and more food we could not really choose. I had chicken breast but it was wraped in some kind of breading and stuffed with who knows what with apricot sauce on top. wild rice and greenpea pods. A salad that had a much dressing on it as I eat in a whole week. then for desert was a whip cream and white chocolate in a little glass with peice of dark chocolate stuck in to make it all pretty. the breast was huge so I removed the breading and eat half of it, eat half the rice and the pea pods and I was more than full. I did eat the little peice of choc stuck in the top of the desert and passed up the bread and butter all together.
Then saturday they had a buffett. carrots but they had brown sugar and butter on them pasta salads and such , several deserts Of whigh i had one bite of apple desert on filo, it was tasty. Turkey but i think it must have been soaked in sugar somewere along the line.I survived the weekend with an overall gain of one pound that I expect to be gone tomorrow when i wake up.
This was my first real test and I think I passed it pretty well. I was kind of disgusted at the amounts of food we were given to eat. extremly self indulgent. It was all delishious but not so healthy and definaly not low glycemic.
The event was great with about 300 people there I think. All of them with the same company and trying the same product I am so they had all lost many inches and pounds and all the buz going on was tremendous. Some had just bought new clothes a week before or a month before that no longer fit and one lady had gone down two dress sizes in three weeks. It was very encouraging to see others having the same success we were and that it is real and I am not dreaming this.
I wish I could get my Sister to try this stuff. She is up for bariatric surgery now and i have heard and read and talked to people that have had that done. most do not keep off the wiegh and they have problems with malabsorbtion and a list of health issues. I hate to see that happen to her. The ball is already rolling and I am sure it has to much momentum to stop now.
That was my weekend hope you had a good one
Kathy
Weekends can be very damaging when you're watching your weight. However, a one pound gain is actually very good. You're doing a great job. Take care. |
