The weather outside was beautiful today. Lovely and cool with a nice light breeze and the sky was blue and it was just generally enjoyable. So I decided to go for a walk. I didn't have any definite route in mind other than swinging past the library to take some movies back, so I did that first and then I let my feet carry me where they would. I also didn't want to hurry and huff and puff and break a sweat so I walked at my normal relaxed pace of about three miles an hour. Sixty minutes later I wasn't tired yet, so I decided to do some looping around side streets and go for ninety minutes. At the ninety minute mark I STILL wasn't tired, so I kept on looping as I headed for home. And at the 105 minute mark I was nearly there but I decided to push myself just a little further and to do a full two hours. So I did. And when I got home and logged my walk into map your walk I was astounded - I was going a little faster than I thought I was. My total walk was 6-3/4 miles - that's OVER ten kilometers! I think I walked down every little street in our big block...
I wonder how sore I'll be tomorrow?
Pretty awesome... You are doing great, way to let your body decide how much and to have the time to do it :). |
