So this weekend, I started training for the half marathon.  Friday, Josh and I did 3 miles on the trails.  He rides his bike and I run....he was wonderful, quite the champ and never complained.  Saturday, we did just over 5 miles..... it was awful.... he complained the whole way and didn't want to do it.  The first quarter of a mile, he stopped 4 times.  There was a wellness walk going on and everyone thought he was so cute but that's cause he was good when other people were looking.   Oh well...... did find out the trail does end.  The total length of the trail is about 6 miles.  We went out about 2.75 and came back the same way.

Sunday was an off day.  Monday was supposed to be hills.... couldn't find any around me (Tx is VERY flat).  Asked a friend of mine and he gave me directions to one, so I guess I will do that next week.  Today is a 3 miler and then a workout with the trainer.  Hoping to get that done before I pick up Josh but I may have to do it on the treadmill......

My sister from Seattle called.  She will probably be able to make it on Thanksgiving after all!  Yeahhhh!  It will be the second time that she has seen Josh and the first time in like 7 years that our whole family will be together.  BF can't make it because of work though, so that is sad but I am SO excited to see her.

Starting to feel better and the bloat seems to be going down.  Fingers crossed that the weight is too.  I NEED to do better.  Why can't I stay motivated?!?

Isn't it great how one day the kids are angels and the next we don't know them at all?  I hope you get all you plan it today.

I am so glad you will with your whole family for Thanksgiving.  Sorry BF can not attend too.

I think with the motivation of seeing your entire family soon you will have plenty of motivation to share.

Have a wonderful day!

Wow, the training sounds like a lot of work. How admirable.

And to do it with a child along, it would be very hard for me to concentrate. I really zone out and meditate when I am exercising.

Good news about your sister making it home for the holidays.

Don't even want to think about all those carbs calling my name. Surprised

I was thinking - you must have a lot of patience to workout with Josh alongside. I bet his little legs were sore on Saturday!

You are doing good - keep us posted regarding the half marathon.  It is inspirational :)
