Odd how the creative power at once brings the whole universe to order.

I promised you black cats on orange backgrounds this month.  Ok, so this one isn't black, but the chair is definitely orange, and you have to admit it's cute.

Update:  10 am.  My thyroid tests are now low normal!  The Tapazole is doing its job.  I'm to continue taking it for one more month, will have another blood test and follow up visit November 19.  I dropped another 2 pounds since last month, so I'm going along fine at 1/2 pound a week.

In a little while I'm going back to bed.  I'll be around to read journals this afternoon and evening.

I'm up so early because I had a rough night and don't know why.  I woke up every hour all night long, so I finally got up.  I was thirsty all night too.  I don't have the heat on and I don't think the air is particularly dry.  I don't think I had too much salt - I was at 1700 mgs in my log.  It's just one of those things.

Plan for today - I have an appointment at 9:30 for a checkup with the endocrinologist.  I had the bloodwork done last week and I'm hoping to hear that I'm getting better.  After that, I guess it will be a nap for me as early in the day as possible.  I really do need to go to the bank and deposit a check, and get some rolls of quarters for the laundry, but I don't think I'm going to make it.  The rest of the day, I'll just have to see.

Menu for today - breakfast Kashi Golean Crunch with skim milk.  Mid morning - an orange, lunch - salad with chickpeas and low fat dressing.  supper - I'd like some pasta.  We'll see if I feel like cooking it.  snacks - yogurt, pear, carrots.

I'll try to stop back later for an update, but don't be surprised if I don't show up.  I may just sleep all day (hope not!)

Great pic!  I LOVE it!!!  I'm still afraid of skim milk.  I used to only drink whole milk, and now am down to 1% milk.  I have been adjusting slowly but surely in the direction of skim milk.  I'm hoping to be able to drink it before too long.  You rock!  I hope you don't sleep all day.  Take good care.  xoxoxo

I do hope you get some rest and sleep.  I hate nights like that.

Hope the doc visit gives you really good news.

Have a great day,

V

I hope you get in that nap...sporatic sleep is so frustrating...I'm up 4-5 times every night... Glad to hear the meds are doing their job :)

The Halp cat is wonderful, as is Adlai Stevenson's Saturday quote--danke schon!  I'm glad to hear about your solid weight loss and stabilized thyroid situation.  Since you saw a doc today, you obviously didn't have a holiday.  Not that Columbus day is really celebrated, but I was happy to have a day off school.Laughing

Thanks for the note in my journal.
I own a steamer. It's not as good as the ones you can rent, but it works for maintenance during the year.
I actually would love to have Stanley Steamers come and do my whole house.
(I really just need to replace my carpeting....2 dogs, 1 cat, and a kid that has spent 9 years contributing to it's current state :)

I will never fault you for not commenting due to napping.
I will always ENVY you for it though :)

Have a super night, Ms. Claire.
