Ok so yesterday I'm back at the gym - 50 min wt lifting 40 min cardio - elliptical and walking - eat close to 1200 cal and scale goes up 1.4 pounds GRRRRR I know I know - probably fluid retention from lifting but still....  My stats from yesterday:

Fat - 28.0% (40 grams)
Protein - 20.5% (66 grams)
Carbohydrates - 51.5% (166 grams)
Alcohol - 0.0%
Other - 0.0%

Daily Sodium Intake - 1,597 mg
Daily Sugar Intake - 71 grams
Daily Cholesterol Intake - 44 mg
Daily Saturated Fat Intake - 8 grams
Daily Fiber Intake - 22 gram

Calories 1247         Nutrition Grade A-


 I just wish I knew what to do to make the darn scale go down and stay down instead of this lose 2 gain 2 thing it's in right now. Probably still could try to get protein % higher but I really struggle there.

And somehow today I have to work, go get groceries - I am out of milk and everything else! - cook dinner for hubby and brother-in-law and get my hair cut! Not quite sure how I'm going to get it all done. Normally I would not have to cook at all this week - hubby always stayed at camp all week but everyone left so now I have 2 "hunters" at the house!! Not that I care, but I like the vacation from having to fix dinners! My dinner last night - peanut butter and jelly sandwich, fiber one yogurt and fruit salad! LOL

OK so I work out at the gym "hard" yesterday - lifting and doing cardio - weight was down yesterday 122.4 and DUMB me thinking it would be even lower today because I ate well yesterday and worked out - WRONG - back up to 124...what the heck??? Probably fluid retention from lifting - at least I hope so. I really need to take my own advice and stay off the scale - was trying to weigh only on Sat and/or Sunday. No, me I have to get on because I think I lost only to be brought back to reality! ADVICE TO SELF: STAY OFF THE SCALE

Roasted those chickpeas - recipe from clairelane - uh didn't like those LOL But did like the pumpkin raisin bread pudding from chris!! Of course it's not a veggie! LOL

Baking my pumpkin pies tonight for the church outreach dinner. Pickled my eggs last night for Thursday - I like them pickled the whole way thru! Tomorrow I will bake the ham - for those in my family who don't like turkey - and mix up the stuffing and fruit salad. It will be a  busy few days but it will be nice to have our whole clan for Thanksgiving. It will be the first holiday in a long while...or ever?? .. that we had all 4 daughters and families at one time! "Glued" (with icing) together the oreo cookies for the bases of the turkey cookies the kids are going to make. I'll post a pic after we complete them!

Finally got to 40% carbs...well close... but kind of screwed up the day by making apple crisp and indulging. Wasn't really sure of the calorie count of what I made and had little choice on here to pick so maybe my stats were better (or worse! LOL). So a little too much fat and still a little low on protien - will I ever get to 30%???  Haven't been on the scale since that big jump upwards - really didn't want to know. Clothes don't feel any different ...might brave it later this morning.

So yesterday... I was on my feet all day - our grandson was here for a few hours, I was cooking - roast beef/mashed pot dinner for hubby, cleaned out flower bed, did our laundry ( washer and dryer in the basement so did steps) and my daughters LOL she still brings it home sometimes, cleaned closets... at the end of the day I only had 4,876 steps - which is sedentary but I sure didn't feel sedentary!!! Almost every day last week I had over 11,000 steps a day! And my knees are telling me that is soUndecided

EDIT:  Well I braved the scales... 123.8 ..that's better but still up 1.6 from last sundayUndecided Also not sure why sat fat is so high for yesterday - could have been the beef roast?? and of course apple crisp LOL

Nutrition Grade A-. My stats for the 3 weeks of counting WW points. Starting wt 124.8 on 9/30/08, CW 122.8 as of 10/22/08  ! I'm counting points and logging too LOL One way should be sufficient! Anyways something is working right now cause the scale is moving in the right direction! Thinking I need to eat closer to 1300 cal a day to lose ... maybe before at closer to 1200 it just wasn't enough calories for how active I am.

Still trying to work on upping protein! average 20% a day is probably on the low side. Wish I liked more things. Trying to use whey protein powder but it bothers my stomach.

Played golf, well if you could call it that. I should say attempted golf today LOL - and see snow I eat more when I am exercising. Hope it didn't mess up the scale! Yesterdays weight 123.4 so that is down 1.2 since last Tuesday YEAH finally moving in the right direction! Hope it continues - sometimes that darn scale just jumps right back to where it was.

Still coughing but last night took more medicine and finally slept all night. Don't think I have a voice yet ( it's 6am Mon haven't tried to talk yet LOL). Made a big pot of vegetable soup over the weekend - think that will cure my cough??

OK , so I'm still coughing and not feeling up to parUndecided. Wanted to wash all my windows today and take out the screens but I just don't feel good enough. I was very "step deficient" on my pedometer too. I'm getting sick of being sick.

Doing ok with eating, hope I'm losing but can't tell. I can manage the stay within my "points " quite well - over eating was never my problem. Don't want to get on the scale since I'm not exercising. Did manage to do 30 min on the elliptical Friday at the gym but today was a bust for exercise.

Ok so my daughter is doing Weight Watchers and I'm giving it a try too on my own. We'll see if it works - honestly last time I tried it I gained weight on allotted points.Undecided even with going to the gym 4-5x a week. Maybe I wasn't eating enough?? Never did have a big appetite and I get full so fast - I'm more of a grazer.

Doesn't look like I ate enough yesterday either but ate my 18 points target and 2 flex. Trying to keep carbs 150 or under. Actually went home after school and ate veggies (LOL for those of you who know how I just "love"veggies) because I was starving - which I usually am right after school. Guess I should have had  a bigger snack as at the end of the day calories were a little low.

Still logging everything on CC too - only time will tell. I need to figure out if it is carbs or fat or lack of protein that makes it so difficult for me to lose weight.

Don't understand WHY it is so hard to lose 8 pounds....BIG SIGH
