Brilliant tasy side dish to compliment chicken, lamb, or beef dishes.

Ingredients
| 200 |
g onion, chopped |
| 300 |
g rice |
| 3 1/2 |
cups water |
| 24 |
g stock cubes |
| 28 |
g butter |
| 1 |
g turmeric |
| 3 |
g salt |
| 1 |
g allspice, ground |
| 1 |
g curry powder |
Directions
- Fry onions in butter until tender
- Add spices and rice and fry 2-3 minutes, stirring
- Add stock dissolved in water
- transfer to lidded casserole dish
- Bake 40 minutes at 170°C (340°F) or until tender.
- Chopped vegetables such as carrot and peas can be added to taste before baking.
