Shepherds Pie - Low Carb - Low Fat - Low Calorie + Tasty :-) Recipe

Very low calorie shepherds pie satisfying & tasty

Ingredients
350 g Extra lean mince steak
200 g Courgette, Squash, or Zucchini
150 g Large onion
150 g Mushrooms Sliced
300 g Cauliflower
150 g Swede or Turnip
150 g Potatoes, White, Flesh And Skin
2 tbsp Chives Freeze dried
2 tbsp Olive oil
100 g Skimmed Milk
Directions
  1. put 1 tbsp of olive oil in a pan add the mince & onions (Season with salt & pepper to taste)

  2. Add sliced mushrooms after the mince has browned & fry till mushrooms cooked.

  3. Shred or grate the courgette Squash, or Zucchini & add to the meat mixture. Add 1 tbsp chives & fry until soft.

  4. Add water to the meat & a little bisto or corn flower to thicken the sauce.

  5. Chop all veg & potatoes leaving the skin on & boil till soft - the cauliflower needs to be over cooked & soft. Season to taste with Salt & Pepper

  6. Drain the water from the veg.

  7. Add 1 tbsp Chives & 1 tbsp Olive oil to the Veg

  8. Mash the veg together. Add the milk a little at a time to the mixture dont make it too runny dont use all milk if not required. Season to taste with salt & pepper.

  9. Place meat in a heatproof dish & top with the vegi mash mixture & grill untill the top is golden.

  10. Serve with other veg if desired like string beans etc.
