Basic flour tortilla recipe
| 1 | cup white flour |
| 1 | tsp salt |
| 1 | tbsp oil |
| 1 | tsp baking powder |
| 1/4 | cup water |
| 1/2 | cup white flour (for rolling out dough) |
- Mix 1 cup of flour with the dry ingredients.
- Add oil and mix well.
- Add water, mix until dough is sticky.
- Continue adding flour until the dough is soft and does not stick to your hands.
- Taking 1-2 inch round balls, roll out with a rolling pin till the tortillas are very thin.
- Cook on high in a hot pan both sides. Lightly oil the pan if desired.
- Serve or store in air tight container for later use.
