Hard Italian Almond Cookies

Ingredients
4 cups flour
2 1/2 cups sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
5 eggs
2 cups almonds
Directions
Combine all ingredients, dry first. Roll into long logs. Beat an egg, and brush over the logs as glaze (add orange zest/juice for additional flavor, if desired). Bake in oven at 300 for 40 minutes. Remove from oven, and slice into individual cookies. Seperate slices on cookie sheet and return to oven until golden brown - or until desired consistancy.
