These burgers make an excellent vegan meat substitute for BBQs, or can be served for breakfast with scrambled eggs on top.
| 1 | tablespoon onion, diced |
| 2 | cups black beans |
| 1 | slice (32g) white bread, crumbled |
| 1 | tsp garlic powder |
| 1 | tsp onion powder |
| 1 | tbsp olive oil |
| 1/2 | cup mushrooms, minced |
- Mash black beans with a fork, until beans resemble mashed potatoes. Mix black beans, onion, bread, garlic powder, onion powder, olive oil and mushrooms.
- Form into patties approximately ½ inch thick and fry in 1 tbsp olive oil.
