Submitted by jennisonamission

Makes 6 servings

I used healthy choice tomato sauce (instead of the regular stuff)and also, the ground turkey I used was extra lean!

Ingredients
3/4 lb lean ground beef
1/2 lb ground turkey
3/4 cup chopped mushrooms
3/4 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/3 cup chopped green pepper
3/4 cup mild salsa
1 tsp chopped garlic
1 tsp chili powder
1 serving Diana smokehouse sauce
1 dash oregano
1 dash cumin
13 oz no salt added tomato sauce
1 cup red kidney beans
2 cups water
8 oz tomato sauce
Directions
  1. Turn your slowcooker (crock pot) on high.

  2. Chop up mushrooms, onion, celery and green pepper (and garlic if you don't have prechopped already).

  3. Brown beef and turkey in a frying pan.

  4. Put meat, seasonings, veggies, water and sauces in the slowcooker, leave for a 3 hours.

  5. Add kidney beans, stir, leave for one more hour.
