Chickpea Soup

Makes 10 servings

Ingredients
3 1/2 cups chickpeas
2 onions
10 cups water
1/2 cup carrots
1 small potatoe
1/8 tsp salt
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp coriander
1 tsp cayenne
1/8 tsp Black pepper
1 tsp lemon juice
Directions
  1. Put chickpeas, onions and 9cups water in a large pot and bring to a boil.

  2. Lower to simmer for one hour.

  3. Add potatoes and carrots, 1 cup water and spices (but not the black pepper).

  4. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer for like 2 hours.

  5. Then add black pepper and lemon juice.
