Ingredients

cups chickpeas |

onions |

cups water |

cup carrots |

small potatoe |
| 1/8 |
tsp salt |

tsp turmeric |
| 1 |
tsp coriander |
| 1 |
tsp cayenne |
| 1/8 |
tsp Black pepper |
| 1 |
tsp lemon juice |
Directions
- Put chickpeas, onions and 9cups water in a large pot and bring to a boil.
- Lower to simmer for one hour.
- Add potatoes and carrots, 1 cup water and spices (but not the black pepper).
- Bring to a boil, cover and simmer for like 2 hours.
- Then add black pepper and lemon juice.
