| 8 | corn tortillas |
| 1 | lb hamburger, lean |
| 1/4 | head lettuce, shredded |
| 1/4 | onion, chopped |
| 1/2 | lb cheddar cheese, shredded |
| 1/2 | cup salsa |
| 1/4 | cup oil |
| 1 | tbsp chili powder |
| 1/2 | tsp garlic powder |
| 1/2 | tsp onion powder |
- Shred cheese and lettuce.
- Chop onion. Brown, season and crumble burger. drain and keep warm.
- Pour oil into a small frying pan. heat oil on med-high. Using a stack of 5 paper towels to drain tortillas like an accordian, dip tortillas, one at a time, into hot oil for 3 or 4 seconds on each side. place into paper stack and repeat until all tortillas are heated.
- Assemble tacos by putting 2 spoonfuls of beef, a handful of cheese, a sprinkle of onions, and a handful of lettuce. use salsa according to taste.
