Applesauce Oatmeal Almond Cookies Recipe

Soft and chewy

Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ginger
1/4 tsp allspice
1 cups brown sugar
1/4 cup butter
1 3/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
2 eggs
2 cups quick oats, raw
1 cup slivered almonds, toasted
Directions
  1. Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs and mix well. Add applesauce and blend. In separate bowl, combine the flours and rest of the dry ingredients, except oats. Mix well. Add to applesauce mixture and mix. Stir in oats and almonds. Drop from tablespoon onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper. Bake at 375 for 10-13 minutes or until the edges are lightly browned. Cookies will not brown or spread much.
