Split Pea Soup (Vegetarian) Recipe

Great vegetarian split pea soup and fat free too.

Ingredients
1 1/2 c split peas
16 c water
3 stalk celery
6 carrots
1/2 lb yams (about 2 sweet potatos)
1/8 t pepper
2 t salt
2 t chicken bouillon
2 clove garlic (minced)
Directions
  1. boil split peas in water for 1 hour, using an hand blender blend until split peas are broken up.

  2. Dice vegetables and add to soup with seasonings.

  3. Cook another hour until vegetables are soft.
