Toum Recipe

Makes 1 serving


Lebanese Garlic Spread. Cut out the oil as much as you can to make it healther

Ingredients
2/3 clove garlic, peeled
2 teaspoons vegetable oil,
1 pinch salt
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Directions
  1. Crush garlic in a mortar and pestle with a generous pinch of salt.

  2. Mix in oil a little at a time until the mixture will absorb no more oil.

  3. Stir in the lemon juice.

  4. Serve at room temperature with Lebanese breads, hummus or Tabbouleh.
