Scottish raisin bread
| 1/2 | lb of raisins |
| 1/2 | lb of currants |
| 1 | cup of brown sugar |
| 1 | egg |
| 1 | tblsp baking powder |
| 3 | cups self rising flour |
- soak the fruit in tea overnight with sugar
- mix with egg, flour and baking powder next day
- seperate mixture into 2 loaf pans and bake at 350 for an hour or until dark and middle is done.
- wonderful toasted with butter or marmalade
