Makes 20 servings


Scottish raisin bread

Ingredients
1/2 lb of raisins
1/2 lb of currants
1 cup of brown sugar
1 egg
1 tblsp baking powder
3 cups self rising flour
Directions
  1. soak the fruit in tea overnight with sugar

  2. mix with egg, flour and baking powder next day

  3. seperate mixture into 2 loaf pans and bake at 350 for an hour or until dark and middle is done.

  4. wonderful toasted with butter or marmalade
