This is my most requested recipe at Christmas time.

Ingredients
| 1 |
cup sugar |
| 2 |
sticks butter |
| 3 |
tbs water |
| 1 |
tsp vanilla |
| 3 |
hershey bars |
| 3/4 |
cup pecans |
Directions
- Melt butter on medium heat. Add sugar, water, and vanilla. Cook over medium to medium high heat until thick and dark brown, similar in appearance to melted caramel. While cooking, chop pecans and sprinkle half on a cookie sheet. When butter/sugar mixture is ready, pour over pecans on cookie sheet. Let sit about 5 minutes to allow it to harden before adding chocolate. Break up hershey bars and place on top of mixture. The heat from the toffee will melt the chocolate. Spread over toffee. Add remaining pecans. Allow chocolate to harden and then break toffee up into smaller pieces to serve.
