Cut out cookies
| 1 1/2 | cup flour |
| 1/2 | teaspoon salt |
| 1/2 | cup sugar |
| 1 | egg |
| 1 | teaspoon vanilla |
| 1/2 | teaspoon baking soda |
| 1 1/2 | teaspoon baking powder |
| 1/2 | cup shortening |
| 1 | tablespoon milk |
Sift dry ingredients. Cut in shortening (use fork) until mixture resembles coarse meal. Blend in egg, milk, and vanilla. Roll on floured board to 1/16 inch thickness. Top may be sprinkled with sugar and rolled lightly. Cut with cutter. Bake at 400 for 6 to 8 minutes.Categories
