Not for the faint of heart! Chocoholics beware.
| 170 | g. Oreo pie crust, 1 crust crushed |
| 1/4 | cup unsalted butter, melted |
| 12 | ounce pakage semisweet chocolate chips |
| 24 | ounces cream cheese, softened |
| 3/4 | cup sugar |
| 3 | eggs |
| 1/2 | cup creme de cacao, amaretto or creme de menthe |
| 8 | ounces sour cream |
| 2 | tablespoons heavy cream |
| 2 | teaspoons vanilla extract |
- Crust: Lightly coat springform pan with cooking spray. Combine Oreo pie crust crumbs with melted butter and press into bottom of pan. (You can also use boxed Oreo crumbs instead of the premade crust, or, if you can find them, the very best is 1 cup of chocolate wafer crumbs made by pulverizing Famous Chocolate Wafers in your food processor.)
- Melt chocolate chips in microwave.
- Beat cream cheese in food processor until light and fluffy. Gradually add sugar, mixing well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
- Add melted chocolate and process.
- Add liqueur, sour cream, heavy cream, and vanilla. Process.
- Pour mixture on top of crust in springform pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees about 45 minutes (center may be soft but will firm when chilled). PUT A SHEET OF FOIL UNDER PAN IN OVEN IN CASE YOUR PAN LEAKS.
- Let cool to room temperature in pan on a wire rack. Refrigerate overnight.
- Before serving, remove sides of springform pan. If desired, decorate with chocolate curls and/or serve with whipped cream.
