Makes 4 servings

From the American Diabetes Association. beef tenderloin steaks, salt, ground black pepper, cooking spray cvt

Ingredients
10 ounce beef tenderloin steak (13443), cooked per recipe, net from 16 ounces fresh, choice grade, check actual yield
1/2 tsp salt (I recommend half this)
1 tsp ground black pepper (I recommend half this)
Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Trim visible fat from sides of meat. Season both sides of meat with salt and pepper.

  2. Coat a large sauté pan with cooking spray. Over high heat, sear meat on both sides about 1 minute.

  3. Place steaks in baking pan. Bake in oven for 15 minutes. Turn once halfway through baking.

  4. After you remove the steaks from the oven, let them sit for 5 minutes before you cut them. This will allow the juices to redistribute themselves, providing maximum flavor!
