Lemongrass Beef Sates Recipe

Makes about 20 Sates

Ingredients
1/3 cup LemonGrass, finely chopped
3 cloves Garlic, coarsely chopped
2 Jalapeno peppers, seeded and chopped
1/4 cup fresh cilantro
3 tablespoons Brown Sugar
2 teaspoons Ground Coriander
1/3 cup Fish Sauce
1/4 cup Lime Juice
4 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 1/2 pounds Flank Steak
Directions
  1. Prepare the marinade: Combine the lemongrass, garlic, chiles, cilantro, and brown sugar in the food processor to a coarse paste. Work in the coriander, fish sauce, lime juice, and 2 tablespoons of oil.

  2. Slice the flank steak into thin strips and marinate for 30 minutes. Thread strips on bamboo skewers.

  3. Grill over high heat and baste with the remaining oil until cooked, 1 to 2 minutes per side.
