Granola Recipe

Submitted by davidkclark

Makes 32 servings

makes about 16 cups, serving size is about 1/2 cup, add 1/2 cup 2% milk for a nice 300 cal breakfast.

Ingredients
9 c oats
1 c hazelnuts
1 c almonds
1 c sunflower seeds
2 c coconut
1/2 c sunflower oil
1/2 c honey
1 c dried cherries
1 c sultanas
1 c raisins
Directions
  1. I make this much because it fits exactly in my glass jar :)

  2. I vary the ingredients... usually 1 part oats, 1/2 part nuts, 1/3 cherries, bit more oil and honey than is enough to coat the nuts.

  3. Heat the oil and the honey to combine a bit better. Pour the nuts into the oil / honey, largest first. Pour the now sticky nut goop into the oats. Add any fine ingredients.

  4. Bake around 400°F, stirring, until brown.

  5. Add fruits while hot!

  6. Let cool before putting in sealed container.
