Dr Oz's Spaghetti with Spinach and Cheese Recipe

Makes 6 servings


spaghetti good for light meal or as a side dish

Ingredients
12 oz whole wheat spaghetti
4 slices turkey bacon
4 cloves garlic
4 cups fresh spinach
2 cups chicken stock
1/2 cup shredded lowfat mozzarella cheese
Directions
  1. Prepare pasta and set aside.

  2. Brown bacon (cut into 1/2" pieces).

  3. Add garlic to drippings & brown.

  4. Add spinach (or kale), salt & pepper, and cook until wilted.

  5. Add chicken stock (14 oz plus water to make 2 c) and simmer covered for 10 min.

  6. Add to drained pasta with mozzarella.

  7. Serve with pacon pieces on top.
