Caprial and John's Kitchen -- Leaving out the vegetables
|
Ingredients
| 1 1/2 |
cup water |
| 2 |
teaspoons yeast |
| 2 |
teaspoons extra virgin olive oil |
| 3 |
cups flour |
| 1 |
tablespoon salt |
| 2 |
tablespoons extra virgin olive oil |
Directions
- To prepare the bread, place the warm water, yeast and olive oil in a mixing bowl fitted with a paddle. Mix and allow to stand a few minutes until creamy. Add about 2 cups of flour and mix well. Add about ½ cup at a time of flour just until the sides are clean. Run the machine about 5 minutes. Add the salt and run until the salt is well incorporated. Lightly oil a very large zip lock bag with olive oil. Add the dough. Let rise until it doubles in volume about 1 hour. Lightly oil a sheet pan and place the dough in the middle of the pan and stretch to fit the pan. Dimple and allow to rest for 20 minutes. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Drizzle with olive oil and top with vegetables and seas salt. Place in the oven and cook about 20 minutes or until the bread reaches and internal temperature of 200 degrees. Remove from the oven and allow to cool a minute then remove from the pan so the bottom doesn't become soft. Serve.
