Ingredients

cup flour, unbleached, Gold Medal |
| 3 1/2 |
oz buttermilk |
| 1/2 |
stick butter, without salt |
| 1 |
t. baking powder |
| 1/4 |
t. salt |
| 1/4 |
t. baking soda |
Directions
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
- Cut butter into small pieces.
- Mix dry ingredients by hand.
- Cut in butter.
- Add buttermilk to mixture and mix by hand.
- Lightly pat out dough into circle that's one half to three-fourths inch tall. Do not overhandle dough.
- Cut with biscuit cutter or round cookie cutter.
- Bake for 12 minutes.
