cream of broccoli soup

Ingredients
4 cups broccoli
2 cups skim milk
1/2 cup sour cream, low-fat
1 1/2 cups onions
1 tsp butter
1/2 green pepper
1/2 red pepper
Directions
  1. Melt 1 tsp butter in soup pot.

  2. Saute onions, salt, bay leaf until translucent over medium heat.

  3. Add chopped pepper and chopped broccoli and 2.5 cups water. Cook over medium heat for 10 minutes or until broccoli is tender.

  4. remove bay leaf and puree with milk.

  5. Whisk in sour cream and seasonings: nutmeg, sage, thyme, black pepper, white pepper.

  6. Serve with broccoli florets
