pg 734 Joy of Cooking

Ingredients
2 cups Milk
3 egg yolks
1/4 cup sugar
1/8 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
Directions
  1. Scald milk

  2. temper eggs

  3. Ster egg mixgture into milk.

  4. Place over boiling water (double boiler)

  5. Stir constantly until it begins to thicken. As it cools, beat to release the steam. Add vanilla before chilling thoroughly.
