Kandil Simidi Recipe

Ingredients
2 sticks butter
1/2 cup olive oil
4 tbsp yogurt
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp sesame seeds
1 egg
2 1/2 cups flour
Directions
  1. preheat oven to 400 degrees.

  2. put the sesame seeds on a shallow big plate.

  3. melt the butter or let it sit in room temperature until it is soft.

  4. combine everything except 1/2 cups of flour in a bowl.

  5. the dough should be soft but not sticky, add more flour if needed.

  6. shape them like long sticks or rings and roll them in the sesame seed. ( you can omit the sesame part)

  7. bake them in a 400 degree oven for 5-10 minutes turn back to 350 bake them until they are a little brown.
