Baked Pumpkin Bread

Makes 12 servings

Can either be made in a loaf pan or as muffins

Ingredients
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
1 1/4 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon allspice
1 cup pumpkin
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1 egg
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

  2. Sift the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg into a large bowl. Mix in the pumpkin, brown sugar, buttermilk, egg and butter until well blended.

  3. Pour into a 9x5 inch loaf pan and smooth the top.

  4. Bake for 1 hour in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean
