Hummus Recipe

Yummy dip 32g per serving

Ingredients
400 g chick peas
3 tablespoons lemon juice
3 tablespoons tahini
12 g garlic
4 1/2 g salt
Directions
  1. Soak one cup dried chick peas (garbonzo beans) in four-five cups water overnight (12 hours) then boil for two-and-a-half hours in salted water; or

  2. Use canned chick peas (garbonzo beans) rinsed.

  3. Put the cooled peas into a food processor with all the other ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth-ish.

  4. Taste and season with more lemon juice and salt to taste.

  5. You can add sundried tomatos, extra garlic, herbs, olives, pesto, peppers, anything you like for a yummy dip or spread.

  6. Refrigerate in an airtight container and it will keep for some time.
