You can substitute 2 cans of tomato soup diluted with some water or 2 cups of salsa in place of the tomato sauce/water combo.

Ingredients

medium green peppers, (select tall rather than wide ones, any color) |

pound ground turkey |
| 1/3 |
cup brown rice, uncooked |
| 1 |
onion, grated |
| 1 |
salt and pepper |
| 1 |
tsp oregano |
| 1 |
tsp parsley |
| 1 |
clove garlic |
| 1 |
tsp basil |
| 1 |
tsp chili powder |
| 1 |
cup tomato sauce |
| 1 |
cup water |
Directions
- Cut the top off and remove seeds from peppers. Combine beef, rice, onion and seasonings.
- Stuff each pepper about 2/3 full. Stand the peppers side-by-side in the slow cooker.
- Combine tomato sauce and water and pour over the peppers.
- Cook on LOW for 6-8 hours. If desired, heat more sauce to serve with the peppers.
