Pie Pastry Recipe

Pie Pastry

Ingredients
1 lb lard
5 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 egg
1 tbsp vinegar
1 cup water
Directions
  1. Cut the lard into the flour, baking powder and salt until they are well mixed.

  2. Place egg and vinegar into a measuring cup. Add enough water to make the liquids measure 1 cup and mix liquids together.

  3. Add liquid to flour and lard mixture and work the liquid into the mixture.

  4. When the pastry is well mixed divide it into 3. Each part makes one double crust pie.
