Pie Pastry
| 1 | lb lard |
| 5 | cup flour |
| 1 | tsp baking powder |
| 1 | tsp salt |
| 1 | egg |
| 1 | tbsp vinegar |
| 1 | cup water |
- Cut the lard into the flour, baking powder and salt until they are well mixed.
- Place egg and vinegar into a measuring cup. Add enough water to make the liquids measure 1 cup and mix liquids together.
- Add liquid to flour and lard mixture and work the liquid into the mixture.
- When the pastry is well mixed divide it into 3. Each part makes one double crust pie.
