Split Pea Soup Recipe

Split Pea Soup Great hot or cold!

Ingredients
2 cups split peas
32 oz vegetable broth
48 oz water
2 tablespoons butter
4 small carrots (chopped)
1 medium onion (finely chopped)
1 tbsp pepper
1 tsp salt
Directions
  1. Add broth and water to pot

  2. add in one bag split peas

  3. add butter, carrots and onions

  4. lightly cover and bring to rapid boild for 30 minutes

  5. add seasonings

  6. drop to a simmer for 30 minutes longer

  7. If not smooth enough you can cook longer or puree
