Grandma Della's Rugelach
| 1/2 | lb margarine |
| 3 | cups flour |
| 3 | tbsp Powdered sugar |
| 3 | Egg yolks |
| 1 | tbsp sugar |
| 1/2 | tsp salt |
| 3/4 | cups sugar |
| 3/4 | cups ground walnuts |
| 1 1/2 | tsp. cinnamon |
| 2 1/4 | tsp yeast |

- ½ lb. butter or margarine ½ c. milk or water
- 3c. flour + 3T. powdered sugar 1 T. sugar
- 1 pkg. dry yeast ½ t. salt
- 3 egg yolks
- Dissolve yeast & sugar in warm water or milk. Let stand 10 minutes. Mix flour & butter until it looks like sand (can use Cuisinart - pulse a few times) or use pastry blender or fingers. Make a well in flour mixture and add egg yolks. Add yeast mixture.
- Mix and then knead lightly & divide into three parts. Wrap each part in plastic wrap. Refrigerate.
- Now for nut mixture: ¾ c. sugar
- ¾ c. ground walnuts
- 1 ½ t. cinnamon
- Mix these ingredients together. Sprinkle a little nut mixture on a flat surface. Roll out dough in circle and cover with some nut mixture. Cut each piece of dough into about 16 wedges.
- Roll into small crescent shape. Let rise 20
