Lowfat Gravy Recipe

Lowfat version of flour gravy

Ingredients
1 tablespoon peanut oil
2 tablespoons flour
1/4 cup chopped onion
3 tablespoons cornstarch
3/4 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Directions
  1. heat oil in a skillet

  2. add flour

  3. brown flour

  4. add onions and brown onions

  5. add 1/4 of water and simmer until lumps dissolve

  6. add balance of water and bring to a boil

  7. add salt and pepper

  8. mix cornstarch in a small amount of water and add to gravy to thicken

  9. stir until thickened
