Lowfat version of flour gravy
| 1 | tablespoon peanut oil |
| 2 | tablespoons flour |
| 1/4 | cup chopped onion |
| 3 | tablespoons cornstarch |
| 3/4 | teaspoons salt |
| 1/2 | teaspoon pepper |
- heat oil in a skillet
- add flour
- brown flour
- add onions and brown onions
- add 1/4 of water and simmer until lumps dissolve
- add balance of water and bring to a boil
- add salt and pepper
- mix cornstarch in a small amount of water and add to gravy to thicken
- stir until thickened
