Self Frosting Oatmeal Cookies
| 1 | cup sugar |
| 1 | cup brown sugar |
| 1 | cup shortening |
| 1 | tsp vanilla extract |
| 1/2 | cup egg beaters |
| 1 1/2 | cups flour |
| 1/2 | tsp salt |
| 1/2 | tsp cinnamon |
| 1/8 | tsp cloves |
| 1 | tsp baking soda |
| 1 | tsp baking powder |
| 2 1/2 | cups oatmeal |
- Cream sugars and shortening. Add vanilla and eggs and mix well. Gradually add sifted dry ingredients until fully incorporated. Finally, add oatmeal and blend.
- Refrigerate dough for at least two hours.
- After refrigerated, roll dough into walnut-sized balls and coat with powdered sugar. Place on baking sheet and flatten slightly.
- Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes.
