Self Frosting Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup shortening
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup egg beaters
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp cloves
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
2 1/2 cups oatmeal
Directions
  1. Cream sugars and shortening. Add vanilla and eggs and mix well. Gradually add sifted dry ingredients until fully incorporated. Finally, add oatmeal and blend.

  2. Refrigerate dough for at least two hours.

  3. After refrigerated, roll dough into walnut-sized balls and coat with powdered sugar. Place on baking sheet and flatten slightly.

  4. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes.
