Whole Wheat Pita

Makes 24 servings

Delicious home made pita

Ingredients
8 tsp corn oil
4 tsp sugar
2 cup bread flour
1 1/3 cup whole wheat flour
1 1/3 cup water
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp yeast
Directions
  1. I use a bread maker to make the dough. :)

  2. Combine warm water, sugar and yeast. Add salt and oil, then add flour.

  3. Let the bread maker do its thing.

  4. When the dough is ready, divide into 12 equal pieces forming them into balls.

  5. Let them rise for about 30 minutes in a warm place, then gently press the tops down to form disks

  6. Bake at 500F/260C for 5 minutes.

  7. Let them chill, then cut in half. 1 serving is 1 pocket.
