Raw smoothie made with almond milk, frozen fruits, cinnamon, vanilla extract and raw honey. Delicious, refreshing and filling!
| 1/4 | cup almonds |
| 1 1/4 | cup water |
| 1 | small banana, frozen |
| 1/2 | cup strawberries |
| 1/4 | cup frozen blueberries, unthawed |
| 1/4 | cup frozen blackberries, unthawed |
| 1/4 | cup frozen raspberries, unthawed |
| 1/4 | cup frozen peaches, unthawed |
| 1/2 | tsp cinnamon, ground |
| 1/4 | tsp vanilla extract |
| 1 | tbsp honey, raw |
- Make the almond milk first. Soak the 1/4 cup of almonds in water overnight, enough to cover them completely. Drain and rinse in the morning. Put them in a Vita-mix or blender (they'll have expanded while soaking and that's ok) with 1 and 1/4 cups of water and run it on high until smooth. Strain.
- Then just toss the almond milk with the rest of the ingredients in a Vita-mix and blend on high for 30 seconds using the tamper if it won't run smooth. Or, use a blender which will take a bit longer but will work just as well as long as you stop it and press down anything that gets stuck and then run it again.
- Eat immediately after preparing.
