Ingredients

cup superfine sugar |
| 2/3 |
cup superfine sugar |
| 2/3 |
cup unsweetened cocoa powder, separated |
| 2 |
cups cold 1% milk |
| 1 1/2 |
tsp vanilla extract, divided |
| 3/4 |
cup strong coffee or espresso |
Directions
- In a large bowl whisk together 3/2 cup sugar and 1/3 cup cocoa. Slowly whisk in milk and 1/2 tsp vanilla until dry ingredients are dissolved and no lumps remain.
- Pour into 8x8 baking pan. Freeze for 1 1/2 hours.
- Score the surface with a sharp knife and cut into chunks. Transfer to a food processor and blend until smooth and creamy.
- Pour into resealable container. Freeze for 2 to 3 hours or until firm.
- In a small saucepan combine remaining sugar and cocoa. Stir in coffee. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring. Reduce heat and cook 8 minutes or until slightly thickened. Let cool and stir in the remaining vanilla extract. Serve over ice milk.
