Updated Old Fashioned Soup recipe, for slow cooked.

Ingredients

lbs Beef, Loin, Bottom Sirloin Butt, Tri-tip Roast cubed |
| 1/3 |
cup flour |
| 1 |
Salt |
| 1 |
pepper |
| 2 |
tbsp canola oil |
| 8 |
cups water |
| 1 |
cup beef broth, low sodium (102617) |
| 1 |
tsp Bay leaves |
| 2 |
stalks celery |
| 1 |
lb carrots |
| 2 |
cups diced onions |
| 6 |
tomatoes, chopped |
| 2 |
cups potatoes, cubed and pared |
| 1 |
tsp salt, seasoned |
| 1 |
tsp hot sauce |
Directions
- Optional: parsnips, cabbage (1/4/ head)
- Coat beef stew cubes in flour (seasoned with salt and pepper). Brown meat in 2 T canola oil in heavy skillet.
- Put all ingredients in slow cooker and cook until vegetables are done.
- Correct seasoning to taste.
