Fried Green Tomatoes Recipe

Homestyle with milk gravy

Ingredients
4 green tomatoes
3/4 cup milk
3/4 cup flour
2 tbsp olive oil
1 salt to taste
1 pepper to taste
1 bacon (3 slices)
Directions
Fry bacon and use grease in pan for tomatoes (if more oil is needed, add olive oil). Thickly slice green tomates (look for green tomatoes with a slight blush of red). Dip slices in milk, then in flour. Add or oil in pan. Fry until golden brown. Remove tomatoes from pan and pour in the milk that was remaining from dipping. Stir quickly to create a gravy. Pour gravy over tomatoes and serve immediately.
