My healthy version of this, with brown whole grain rice instead of risotto. This has a nice kick to it, my family loves it. All of the spices make it taste almost like you're using sausage instead of beef, but without all the fat. Using fat free cheddar and extra lean beef brings the calories down more as well.

Ingredients

lb beef, ground |
| 2 |
cups brown rice, 10 minute kind, uncooked |

ounces tomato sauce |
| 1/2 |
cup water |
| 12 |
ounces green beans, canned |
| 1/4 |
tsp cayenne pepper |
| 1/4 |
tsp salt |
| 1/4 |
tsp paprika |
| 1/4 |
tsp garlic |
| 1/4 |
tsp thyme |
| 1/4 |
tsp rosemary |
| 1/4 |
tsp basil |
| 1/4 |
tsp sage |
| 1/4 |
cup shredded cheese |
Directions
- Brown the beef in a skillet
- In a casserole dish, combine rice, tomato sauce, green beans, water and spices
- Add beef and cover
- Bake for approximately 1 hour at 350 degrees, or until the rice has swollen and soaked up the some of the tomato sauce
- Sprinkle with fat free cheese and serve when the cheese has melted
