Penne with Tomato Sauce and Mushrooms Recipe

Makes 6 servings


Hearty lunch with salad or whole wheat roll

Ingredients
500 grams penne
4 cups chopped plum tomatoes,blended
2 medium onions, choppede
12 mushrooms, chopped
2 tablespoon garlic paste
1 teaspoon parsley
1 teaspoon chopped red chili
4 tablespoon oil
1 salt and pepper to taste
Directions
  1. Cook pasta as per instructions. Drain and keep aside.

  2. Heat olive oil and fry onions till transparent.

  3. Add garlic paste and fry for 2 minutes.

  4. Next add mushrooms and fry tiil dark brown.

  5. Last add tomatoes,sugar,chili,parsley and 1 glass of water.Bring to boil,and simmer till thick. Add salt and pepper to taste.

  6. Serve with penne
