Biscuits Supreme

Makes 5 servings

Yum! Split open and put on butter and honey or jam. These are drop biscuits.

Ingredients
3 cups all-purpose flour
4 tsp baking powder
3 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
3/4 tsp cream of tartar
3/4 cup butter
1 cup milk
1/4 cup whipping cream
Directions
  1. Stir together the flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and cream of tartar. Using a pastry blender or fork, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture. Add milk all at once. Using a fork, stir just until moistened.

  2. Drop dough by spoonfuls onto a greased baking sheet. You should have 10 to 12 big biscuits. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden. Serve immediately.
