Cinnamon Apple Topping Recipe

Submitted by lyri

Makes 1 serving

Apple Topping for pancakes, french toast or ice cream.

Ingredients
1 medium apple
1 tbsp butter
1 tsp brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon, ground
Directions
  1. Set pan or pot to medium heat.

  2. Melt butter in pan.

  3. Cut apple into smaller cubes.

  4. Add apple chunks to melted butter and cook apples to desired texture, stirring occasionally.

  5. When apples almost reach desired texture, add the ground cinnamon and brown sugar and continue mixing until it has reached a syrup-like consistency.

  6. Use as topping. In case of adding to pancakes or french toast, skip the syrup! It can also be added as topping to ice cream or I guess it could even be mixed into oatmeal.
