a tasty black bean burger
| 3/4 | cup black beans |
| 3/4 | cup lentils |
| 2 | cloves garlic |
| 1/2 | yellow onion, large |
| 1 | green pepper, medium |
| 3 | tbsp olive oil |
| 30 | crouton |
| 1/2 | cup brown rice |
- soak black beans and lentils overnight in water.
- boil black beans and lentils in 3 cup water, put in bay leaf.
- remove bay leaf and drain beans.
- cook 1/2 cup brown rice, set aside.
- cook 1 tbsp olive oil, garlic, green pepper, and yellow onion in pan. sautée until onion is translucent.
- in a food processor, mix all ingredients together. hand press into 6 patties, and cook with olive oil in the same pan you cooked the garlic and green pepper in.
- Serve and enjoy!
