Green beans with Bacon Balsamic Vinaigrette

Makes 8 servings

8 servings – 3/4 cup

Ingredients
2 lb. Green beans
2 bacon, slices, cut into pieces
1/4 cup shallots, minced
3 tbsp. almonds, chopped
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar, white
Directions
  1. Steam green beans according to package directions in Microwave to appropriate crispness.

  2. Cook bacon in a small skillet over medium-high heat until crisp. Remove bacon onto paper towels to drain.

  3. Add the shallots and sauté 1 minute. Add almonds and sauté 1 minute. Remove and let cool. Add the sugar and vinegar to the pan and stir until the sugar dissolves. Add bacon.

  4. Pour vinaigrette over the beans.
